According to Meta Platforms Inc., the problem that was preventing users from accessing their social networking platforms has been resolved.

“A conspectus upgrade today caused many users to experience issues with accessing our applications”, according to a Meta representative.

According to the outage monitoring website Downdetector.com, more than 11,000 users of Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger experienced problems using the applications, sending messages, or entering their accounts.

Just earlier this week, a global outage of Meta’s messaging service WhatsApp occurred; it was subsequently fixed.

Downdetector collects status updates from a variety of sources, including user-submitted issues on its platform, to keep track of outages. A greater number of customers might be impacted by the outage.

Recall that WhatsApp, owned by Meta, issued an apology for the global disruption that lasted for more than an hour. On Tuesday, the messaging service app was offline for more than an hour, making it impossible for a large number of the service’s billions of users to connect or communicate.

Meta representative said Meta apologizes for the connectivity issue with WhatsApp.

Following a brief outage on Tuesday that left users around the world unhappy that they couldn’t send or receive messages, WhatsApp claimed service on the well-known messaging program had been restored.

People began reporting issues at three in the morning EDT, according to Downdetector, which records outage complaints. Users began announcing online that WhatsApp was functioning normally about two hours later.

A WhatsApp representative reportedly told AP that the firm was aware that some users were experiencing problems sending messages, that the problem had been rectified, and that it apologized for any disruption.

In 2014, Meta, formerly Facebook, acquired WhatsApp. Particularly outside of the US, where many people use it for daily communication, it is enormously popular.
