A major IT company, Cognizant, has signed a deal with Garuda Aerospace, a Chennai-based drone startup, to power its drones with advanced digital capabilities.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed with Garuda Aerospace to bring innovative solutions at scale for enterprises, which aims to achieve incredible swiftness, productivity and overall outcomes.

Garuda Aerospace and US-Based IT company will bring a slew of end-to-end drone-based management and monitoring offerings for business across sectors.

These collaborations with cognizant get an innovative drone-based solution to market and for the enterprises at scale.

Additionally, its associates across its service lines and analytics, including the opportunity to work on purpose-driven drone projects. These associates show their eagerness to be trained as drone pilots can access Garuda Aerospace’s training facilities.

The Garuda Aerospace company has Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former Indian Cricket team Captain, as its Brand Ambassador. It has a fleet of 400 drones and a trained team of over 500 pilots in 26 countries.

Agnishwar Jayprakash, CEO and Founder of Garuda Aerospace, said that this new collaboration with cognizant will enhance the company’s drones made in India and catalyze new solutions to help clients and their customers globally.

The drones can be used in various agricultural sectors by providing intelligent water and soil management, aerial planting and crop spraying. An aerial intelligence solution helps in energy, asset inspection, fire safety and storm impact assessment, among other operational areas.

The drones will also help to move lightweight objects in warehouse management, inventory audits, tracking of products and video surveillance.
