Puresh Daily has raised a seed fund of Rs. 1.2 crore from Dhianu Das of Alfa Ventures and Agility Venture Partners. The startup provides subscription for milk and milk products such as ghee and paneer.
The farm to home delivery based startup has over 1200 subscribers in Ranchi, Ramgarh and Bokaro as of now. With the funs raised, the startup plans to invest in business development, acquisition of more subscribers and partnering with more farms and entrepreneurs to expand its userbase and reach.
Puresh Daily plans to extend its subscription services to more tier 2 cities. It is interesting to see that startups from tier 2 cities are raising funds by proving their consumer market and we can expect more such startups to come up from small cities and towns.
Online milk delivery subscription based apps such as Supr Daily, Daily Ninja and bbDaily have already set their footprint in the market with daily delivery of milk, milk products and groceries. bbDaily is a giant in the market which is an app by Bigbasket. While most of them are focused in tier 1 cities, a start from tier 2 or tier 3 cities can be a good idea in the long term market penetration.
