Vistadome is India’s first train with glass ceiling, LED Lights, rotable seats and GPS based info system

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on sunday inaugurated the trial run of the Vistadome coach to Araku through video conference in the presence of people’s representatives and railway officials at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station.
Vistadome coaches has features like glass roofs,LED lights,rotatable seats,GPS based info system and a see-through Vistadome coach on its Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger train. It has the double-wide reclining passenger seats that could be rotated 360 degrees.The coach has 40 seats costing around 3.38 crores.
Araku MP Kothapalli Gita, MLAs Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, P.G.V.R. Naidu, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Palla Srinivasa Rao, Kidari Sarveswara Rao (Araku), MLCs P.V.N. Madhav and G. Srinivasulu Naidu said in a meeting organised on platform number 8 at visakhapatnam junction – the new glass coach would offer a breathtaking view of the hills and valleys to the tourists visiting Araku.
Mr. Sarveswara Rao suggested that the fare of vistadome coach is very high, it should be brought within the reach of common and tribal people.
Divisional Railway Manager Chandralekha Mukherjee said a second vistadome coach would be arriving in Visakhapatnam by the end of this month and it would be attached to the Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger.
