Software company “GoSpotCheck” has raised $16.5M in Series B funding round


Its web and mobile apps enable businesses to leverage its own employees to gather real-time retail intelligence

GoSpotCheck is a Denver-based SaaS field execution management platform. It has raised $16.5M in Series B funding round led by Insight Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors including Point Nine Capital.

The funds will be used to nearly triple its office space and move into a larger, 16,000-square-foot building that’s under construction next door to its current headquarters at 15th and Market. The plan is to connect both spaces for 22,100 square feet total and move in by March 2017.

The company makes software primarily used by brands and retailers to ensure store shelves are stocked and displays setup correctly.  This data is displayed on their web dashboard, allowing managers to spot trends and view urgent issues from the field, in order to make better business decisions.

The company has grown in the past three years from a handful of employees to 70. With the new funding, GoSpotCheck aims to add another 30 jobs this year, said Matt Talbot, CEO and founder.

“We want to continuing hiring here. We’re really committed to building the business in Denver.” he said.

By the close of 2016, the business expects to have more than 100 employees, nearly double in comparison with December 2015.
