Photography curation platform SIFTR Labs gets $150,000 dollar funding from VentureCatalysts

The photography curation platform, SIFTR Labs has received funding of $150,000 from VentureCatalysts which is a Mumbai-based seed investment platform.
The investors who led the round include Vishal Maheshwari, Daud Ali, Nitin Agarwal and Vikas Kapoor. Vishal Maheshwari said, “We believe that another digital revolution is imminent which shall be driven by advanced GPU and machine learning. The promising technology that SIFTR employs makes it well-poised for success in the time to come.”
Romil Mittal, founder of SIFTR said that finding one particular photo has become difficult since a billion photos are being uploaded everyday owing to mobile technology. He said, “We are an image analysis company and are building our technology stack further to provide very advanced photo search for different use cases.”
Mittal met Mayank Bhagya (co-founder) while he was working for Adobe. SIFTR aims at supporting photographers in curating digital content and it claims to have created the first photo website capable of auto-updating.
