Logistics-tech startup Blackbuck raises $12.4 Mn from existing investors


Zinka Logistics Solutions Private Limited, which operates business to business technology enabled logistics start-up “BlackBuck” has raised $12.4 Mn in fresh round from existing investors.

Existing investors, Sands Capital has led the round by putting in $7.25 Mn, while International Finance corporation accounted for the remainder.

It has raised $27.4 million led by Sequoia Capital which invested $14.68 Mn in october this year. Existing investors Accel Partners and Sands Capital contributed the rest.

Blackbuck was founded in 2015 by IIT Kharagpur alumni Rajesh Yabaji, Chanakya Hridaya and Ramasubramaniam B. The company provides marketplace for business customers involved with inter-city transport of goods.

Blackbuck is currently operational in 1000 locations across the country, having more than 200,000 trucks and 8,500 shippers on its network.

Blackbuck is funded by 7 investors. Accel and Sands Capital Ventures are the most recent investors. It has raised a total of $135.2 Mn in funding over 5 rounds.
