B2B e-commerce platform, Udaan’s co-founders – Amod Malviya, Vaibhav Gupta and Sujeet Kumar — as well as Mekin Maheshwari who founded Udhyam Learning Foundation also participated in the funding round.
Crio was founded by Rathinamurthy R in January 2018. It provides personalised experiences for developers to help them learn new skills. The company says it uses “worklike” micro modules, rather than video tutorials, to train developers.
Crio counts companies such as Flipkart, Visa, and Capillary as its clients. The raised funds will be used to build out its product and scale the team, as it looks to add more modules to serve a wider base of technology skills.
Flipkart cofounder Binny Bansal said, “There is an increasing need for qualified tech talent which is a global problem and a huge market opportunity. Crio has an exceptional team and their approach towards solving this problem is unique, backed with practical insights and experience.”
Rathinamurthy R, founder, Crio said, “If you ask anybody who is a good developer in the market today where they got their maximum learning from, people don’t talk about any course they did, they always talk about how they learnt a lot from a particular project. When you are given a challenging problem, which you are accountable to solve and have a good mentor to help you, that’s when you learn the most.”
