KartRocket, the Delhi-based startup has just raised $6 million from Bertelsmann India Investments (BII). KartRocket enables e-commerce for small retailers. The latest funding round also saw participation from its existing investors Nirvana Digital Investment Holding Co. Ltd., 500 Startups, Nirvana Digital India Fund and Beenext.
The company said it will use the funds for team expansion, product development, marketing and seller eco-system development.
The SaaS ecommerce enablement product, KarRocket is owned by Bit Foot Retail Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Saahil Goel, Vishesh Khurana and Gautam Kapoor founded the company in 2012.
KartRocket offers a website, mobile site, logistics, payment capabilities and promotion and marketing tools. It also provides integration with B2C marketplaces. Presently it has 100 storefronts, payment gateways, integrated shipping solution and traffic generator tool.
In September, last year, it also launched “Kraftly”- a portal for homepreneurs which registers over 10,000 listings every day.
Saahil Goel, CEO of KartRocket said, “The current eco-system is not supportive of integrating smaller sellers into ecommerce; in-fact they aim towards replacing them rather than including them. Kraftly has a single vision of allowing every seller to participate in ecommerce. There are over 50M homepreneurs and small sellers in India that currently do not have a medium of launching their sales online. By bringing such sellers online we’re building the largest supply base of unique products for buyers to choose from.”
