Television actress Vaishali Takkar, known for her roles in TV shows ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, was found dead at her home in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore on Saturday (October 15th) night.

She was 30 years old. A suicide note was also recovered from the spot.

“We have received info at Tejaji Nagar Police Station that TV actor Vaishali Takkar hanged herself to death late last night. Recovered suicide note suggests that she was stressed, was being harassed by former boyfriend. Investigation is on,” ACP M Rahman was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Vaishali was living in Indore with her father and brother since last year. However, her father and brother said that they had no clue that she will take such a drastic step.

The actor reportedly took the extreme step at around 12.30pm, according to police. On getting the information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot.

“TV actress Vaishali Takkar, committed suicide at her residence in Sai Bagh Colony, under Tejaji police station limits in Indore,” an official said.

“A suicide note was also recovered from the spot that suggests that she was stressed and was being harassed by her neighbor Rahul Navlani, who is a businessman,” the official added.

Vaishali, who hails from Mahidpur in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain, moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the film industry. She later moved to Jaipur and eventually to ​​Indore where she had been for the last year.

Vaishali is best known for playing the role of Anjali Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka, Shivani Sharma in Super Sisters, Netra Singh Rathore in Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara and Ananya Mishra in Manmohini 2.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Moti Ur Rehman told news agency ANI: “Rahul was Vaishali’s neighbor and the suicide note indicates that he used to harass Vaishali, because of which she took such an extreme step. She was about to get married to another man and Rahul troubled her for that. The police are currently investigating the case.”

Vaishali’s debut in TV was Star Plus’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in which she played Sanjana from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, she acted as Vrinda in Yeh Hai Aashiqui. She was last seen in the TV show Rakshabandhan in the role of Kanak Singhsaal Singh Thakur.

In April last year, Vaishali had announced her engagement with Kenya-based dental surgeon Abhinandan Singh.

As per reports from Police officials, police is trying to locate Rahul Navlani after his name was found in the note. Police found that the absconder’s house is locked and nothing is known about his whereabouts. Police is taking help of the cyber cell and alerts have been sent to several units on state borders.
