Flipkart has initiated a search for a new CFO and says that Baweja will leave the company on 31 December this year

Flipkart Chief Financial Ofiicer Mr. Sanjay Baweja has quit the company and the company has started searching for a new CFO who will replace Baweja. However, it is not clear who will replace him. He will continue to work with company till December 31, 2016.
Mr. Baweja has joined Flipkart two years ago in November 2014 and was responsible for developing a strategic roadmap for profitable revenue growth.
Before joining Flipkart, Baweja was the Global CFO for Tata Communications. He also worked as Executive President for Corporate Affairs and Chief Risk Officer at Emaar MGF and has had stints at Bharti Airtel, Xerox Modicorp, Digital Equipment and Ballarpur Industries.
This year, Flipkart has seen a string of exits. In January, the company replaced Sachin Bansal with Binny Bansal as its chief executive officer. The next month, two of its other seniormost leaders, Mukesh Bansal and Ankit Nagori left.
Later in April, Flipkart’s chief product officer Punit Soni and vice-president and head of seller ecosystem Manish Maheshwari resigned from the company to join Web18.
In July, Flipkart lost two more senior executives, Payment product head Lalit Sarna and product lead for
marketplace division Sunil Gopinath.
