Deyor Camps raises undisclosed seed funding from Venture Catalysts and REAPRA Ventures

Deyor Camps is a part of Deyor Rooms, offers branded camping trips

Deyor Camps is an online supplier of alternative accommodation such as tents, mud houses and treehouses, and adventure activities in India. 

It ties up with local vendors and standardizes various facets of the offering including tents, linen, food, housekeeping. It works on both revenue sharing with camp sites as well as full capacity ownership.

It has raised an undisclosed seed funding from venture Catalysts in exchange  for a 5% equity. The Japanese early-stage VC firm REAPRA Ventures, existing investor Dheeraj Jain, and new investor Dr. Ritesh Malik also participated in  the round.

The funds will used to fuel its team expansion, technical integration, strengthen its marketing activities, and to develop quality content and enhance its experiences for adventure travellers.

The company was founded in 2015 by by Chirag Gupta, Aakaar Gandhi, Himashu Aggarwal, and Gautam Yadav. Deyor Camps had earlier been chosen for strategic investment by Naspers-backed Travel Boutique Online (TBO), the largest B2B platform for travel agents, which allows it access to a network of more than 20,000 travel agents.

Chirag Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Deyor Camps, said..

Deyor Camps has integrations with 72-plus online travel agents (OTAs) like MakeMyTrip, goibibo,, and Agoda.

Deyor camps started its operation in January 2016, has over 600 alternative accommodation sites and 1000 adventure activity options spread across 70 locations in India.

Deyor Camps is a supplier for adventure travel — be it alternative accommodation like tents, mud cottages, treehouses, house boats, caravans and cabanas, or adventure activity experiences like scuba diving, paragliding, paramotoring, and river rafting.

It also sells its offerings to institutional players like schools, colleges and corporates.

In july 2016, it raised undisclosed seed funding from TravelBoutiqueOnline and $500k seed funding from Redcliffe Capital in Oct 2016.
