Child development app “ParentLane” raises undisclosed funding from Capier Investments

Parentlane is an app based social networking platform for parenting, baby care and child development. It has raised an undisclosed funding amount in Angel funding round from  Capier Investments

Capier investment firm is run by Rohit MA, cofounder of Cloudnine Hospitals. Parentlane was incubated at venture fund Accel Partners Start-Up Pad plans.

The company has also raised an undisclosed angel funding in May 2016 with participation from Flipkart executive Sujeet Kumar and Aprameya Radhakrishna, cofounder of TaxiForSure, Sumit Jain (co-founder and CEO of, Subramanya Venkat (former managing partner at Bessemer Venture Partners and co-founder of, Venk Krishnan (managing Partner at NuVentures), Ravi Machani (founder of IndiVillage LLP), Hitesh Gupta (founder of Vcbytes) and Rohit Choudhary (senior engineering manager at Hortonworks)

Parents can create their child’s profile, timeline and record moments of child’ development and add their close network of friends, family & child care experts. Parents can create and access parenting tips, baby growth and development, baby recipes, children health tips.

Vijay Anand, CEO of ParentLane said, “The app focuses on child development from infancy to the age of eight. We answer queries across 60-70 categories of child development starting from food to different parameters of growth and development. With the data we currently have, we are building a trust layer where experts come on board and can answer queries.”
