“Absentia aims to beat global competition with its novelty. The device-agnostic technology developed by the team can convert any media or game to virtual reality and simulate it on our own head mounting device- Tesseract,” said Mishra, who set up the company last year with Vrushali Prasade and Harikrishna Valiyath. The three had dropped out of BITS Pilani’s Goa campus to start the venture. Virtual reality headsets such as Tesseract offer users an alternate computer-generated environment. Some, like Sony Playstation VR, also allows users to interact with the elements within the simulated environment.
