UK Trade & Investment hosts the first “Tech Rocketship Award 2016-17” in Bengaluru

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is the Government Department that helps UK‑based companies succeed in the global economy. It also help overseas companies bring their high-quality investment to the UK's dynamic economy, acknowledged as Europe's best place in which to succeed in global business.

The UKTI - United Kingdom Trade & Investment today hosted its first pitch session in Bengaluru at the "Social Church Street". The hall was full of enthusiastic crowd, all of them being entrepreneurs, mentors & advisors.

About 10-15 startups today, got the opportunity to pitch before the selection panel. Each startup was allowed a pitching time of 4-5 minutes, followed by a QA round by the jury. The selection panel comprised of:-

John Kat - Technology Specialist - ICT (UKTI)

Ravi Gururaj - Chairman, NASSCOMM 10000 Startups, Mentor, Angel Investor

Padmaja Ruparel - President, Indian Angel Network (IAN)

After completion of all rounds of pitches, finalists or the winners will be the selected Top 10 out of 4 cities. The next pitch session is to be held around November 2016.
