Tech Mahindra planning to back IoT & Automation startups

Tech Mahindra is planning to invest in startups to fire up its expansion. The company is interested in backing IoT, AI and automation startups. It will support the startup ecosystem in the country by raising external funding from its technology partners as well as internal units.
The company is aiming to become a digital technologies company and has been working on mnay technology platforms.
Last week it also showcased 3 technology achievements in its Mission Innovation festival held in Hyderabad – a predictive analytics platform ‘Prism’, an AI platform ‘Tactix’ and a robotics process automation platform – Uno.
Jagdish Mitra, Head of Marketing at Tech Mahindra said, “We no longer only need to be a tech company but also work with people who can run businesses on our end. So, the whole direction we have taken with initiatives such as funding and working with startups and participating in the startup ecosystem in India.”
He also said that there are 22 platforms on which the company is working out of which some are in pilot phase.
