Team set up by government will assist in formulating policy directives for startup ecosystem

A team has been set up by the government which will assist in formulating policy directives for startup ecosystem as informed by parliament. The initiative is to make a more conducive ecosystem for the startups.
Besides the team, the centre has also appointed a consulting agency that will assist the team in its work as said by Nirmala Sitharaman (Commerce and Industry Minister) in the letter to Lok Sabha.
The entrepreneurship campaign has been long supported by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his ambitious ‘Make in india” drive. He also announced “Start-up India, Stand up India” on Independence Day.
In reply to a separate question, Sitharaman said that electronic goods worth Rs. 1,32,976.76 crore were imported this year. in answer to question concerning DMIC project, she said the DMICDC has received the feasibility report for Shendra Ecocity.
