‘SavvyMob’ – your last minute savior for hotel booking get $1 million funding

SavvyMob offers you an online marketplace for last minute hotel bookings and now has raised $1 million seed fund from TV Mohandas Pai (former Infosys veteran) and Let’s Venture.
Founded in 2013 by Bikram Sohal and Gappan Annamalai both of which are former AOL executives, the app’s service is available in 50 cities across the country. The company plans on using the funds to expand the services to another 50 ccities.
Bikram says, “It’s still early days in the grand scheme of things in India, mobile technology is still very small. But the people who are spending now and will be spending more in the future are doing it on these devices. This is why we felt the need to address last-minute bookings.”
SavvyMob has also signed with many hotel chains including Lalit, Movenpick, Oberoi, Royal Orchid, Oyo Rooms, Park Plaza, Radisson and Le Meridien.
One of the SavvyMob’s rival startup RoomsTonite has also raised $1.5 million last year.
