Saama Capital raises $100 million fund

The venture capital firm, Saama Capital has raised $100 million from three funds. The Bengaluru-based VC firm raised first round as a part of the Silicon Valley Bank and the other two as a part of Saama Valley.

The series A round saw $54 million funding, Series B saw $26 million and the rest was closed in the third round.

The team of the VC firm had previously worked with SVB Indian Capital Partners fund that started in 2006. Later Ash Nilani and Suresh Shanmugham founded Saama Capital in 2012.

So far, the firm has invested in Paytm, Snapdeal, Bluestone and others.
