Rockstar games today confirmed the launch of the second iteration of Red Dead Redemption for Fall 2017
New York and London, 18th Oct., 2016, Red Newswire/-
Good news for fellow gamers! Rockstar games announced today that the sequel to the superhit title Red Dead Redemption is going to grace the world in the Fall of next year. The company tweeted the date along with a teaser that we will see the first trailer of the game on this Thursday, that is the 20th of October.
The first Red Dead Redemption game was a huge success. The game comes under the genre of an epic Western action-adventure, similar to the developer's biggest title, Grand Theft Auto. We already had suspicions about a sequel to RDR coming in for sometime, but now we have official confirmation.
Looking closely at the teaser image Rockstar has thrown at us today, you can see a band of what appears to be outlaws in the form of seven cowboys. And if you ask me, personally, they look pretty bad-ass.
The game will bring in the familiar atomosphere of its previous iteration with a whole new storyline, better gameplay and, according to Rockstar, a completely revamped new online multiplayer game mode. Our best guess is a similar online gaming portal to the amazong GTA V. The developer notes that the title is “an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland,” with a “vast and atmospheric world.”
The game will come with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platform support, according to the teaser site. We don't know much yet, but as soon as the trailer lands in a couple of days, we'll have a pretty good idea of how the game will play out. We'll keep you updated with all the latest news on Red Dead Redemption!
