Indian Angel Network invested $10 Million (around Rs 85 Crores) in 52 companies in 2022. Indian Angel Network is an early-stage venture capital that deals with investments.

This early-stage venture capital firm is an industry-agnostic network. It has provided funds to many startups across 19 sectors within India. The firm has also invested funds in startups from 7 other countries. In addition to this, the Indian Angel Network has invested funds in 11 women-led ventures. Along with women-led ventures, startups from tier 2 and tier 3 cities also bagged funds from Indian Angel Network in 2022. 

The workforce of IAN consists of 500 members across the world. It has a wide network and is present in many other countries. It has an asset under management of around $9 billion.

The early-stage venture capital firm, established in 2006, has invested in more than 200 companies to date. An amount of 900 crores has been invested by the firm so far. 

Indian Angel Network Investments

Moving on, the firm has backed many startups from different sectors. It includes SaaS ( software-as-a-service), Fintech and D2C sectors. The above-mentioned sectors have raised investments ranging from Rs 25 lacs to Rs 50 crores in their early-stage funding round.

IAN backed the pre-series A funding round of $1 Million of Edmingle in November. Edmingle is a SaaS-based platform for the training and coaching business. Furthermore, the firm also led the seed funding round of Cheelizza which raised INR 4.11 Crore in September 2022. Cheelizza is a Mumbai-based pizza chain.

The firm also participated in the seed round of Electrifuel in August 2022. 

Indian Angel Network invested in 52 startups in 2022.

Sequoia capital maintained its lead position by completing 71 deals in 2022. The second position was acquired by Accel, which invested in 54 startups in 2022.

India has seen the growth of startups from different sectors in 2022. As a result of this, many venture capital firms have shown faith and trust in different startups. In short, we can say that 2022 was a golden year for startups.
