Matchmaking service “Lunch Actually” raises undisclosed funding from Fatfish Group and Mixi

"Lunch Actually" is a matchmaking service that connects singles over lunch

Lunch Actually said that it has raised a "Seven Digit" amount in Series A funding round led by internet companies Fatfish Group and Mixi. However, the amount is undisclosed.

The company was founded in April 2004 by Violet Lim ,CEO & Founder and Jamie Le, Founder & Director at Lunch Actually.

It acquired mobile dating app Love Out Loud Asia (LOLA) in Oct 2014, which has enabled Lunch Actually with a mobile-oriented service in addition to its offline business.

It provides offline personalized matchmaking service for single professionals.

Lunch Actually said that it would use the capital to drive growth in its existing markets - Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia and to expand to a new market in Asia.

The Lunch Actually group has gathered more than half a million members and arranged over 70,000 dates, with thousands of successful couples and marriages under its belt.

It offers both online and offline dating platforms.
