LocalCircles get angel investment from Puneet Dalmia

LocalCircles, the online engagement platform has raised funding from Puneet Dalmia, MD of Dalmia Group. The undisclosed funding will be used in service expansion. As a part of the deal, Dalmia will be joining LocalCircles’s board along with Anand Mahindra (Chairman, Mahindra group), RC Bhargava (Chairman, Maruti) and Nadir Godrej (M.D. Godrej Industries).

The Delhi-based startup enables citizens to connect to local governance, civic issues, emergency assistance and law & order.

LocalCircles was founded in 2013 by Sachin Taparia, Mukesh Gupta, K Yatish rajawat and Abhishek Gupta.

Dalmia said, “What makes it highly relevant is that any public leader or corporate can easily connect with its constituents or customers using LocalCircles, understand issues better, resolve them and stay connected with the collective pulse in real time.”
