Singapore-based startup incubator Idea Wave Labs has acquired a significant minority equity stake in the Mumbai-based startup First Moms Club, which comes under Ruchita Rambles Pvt. Ltd.

First Moms Club plans to use the investment to expand its technical capability and scale up its business. However, the amount invested in First Moms Club by Idea Wave Labs remains undisclosed.

First Moms Club was started by Mumbai-based mother Ruchita Dar Shah as a Facebook page in 2010 and has today grown into a network of over 50,000 mothers across 45 countries. It has recently launched its beta version of the app, which has around 5000 downloads.

Users can share experiences, seek opinion & advice from one another even anonymously if preferred. It helps its users to post about event gatherings and lets brands test and market their products.
