In addition to this, the company aims to join hands with three times the number of companies furthermore, in the next month.
Customers are currently provided with the facility to pay offline, by making use of their Ola Money, Jana Cash, Mobile wallet and Money on Mobile wallets.
The company introduced its offline wallet acceptance, in alliance with Paytm, Citrus Pay and Mobikwik in the month of September last year. Currently, it has improved its existing technologies and the new updates include the ability to allow merchants to start transactions, even when they are offline. Once the merchant begins the transaction, the tools will share a one-time password key with the customer, which he/she will have to share for authenticating the exchange online, even if the merchant is not online. This scheme will attract many merchants in our country, thanks to the low rates of Internet spread.
Siddharth Arora, CEO of ePaisa states that the company has managed to invite more attention, ever since offline wallets had been introduced. He promises the number of wallets will shoot up to twenty in the month of March, from a meagre eight currently; as a result of the interest among the customers lately.
