Collegedunia gets backed by Umang Kumar for Rs. 3 crore

Collegedunia, the edu-search engine has raised Rs. 3 crore in pre-Series A round from CEO of Gaadi.com, Umang Kumar.
Collegedunia offers information on higher education here and abroad. Last year, it had raised rs. 1 crore angel funding from Umang Kumar and others.
The startup is now preparing to raise Rs. 33 crore funding in the next round. Sahil Chalana, founder of Collegedunia said, “We currently get about 30,000 unique visitors a day and we’d like to scale that up to 70,000 in the coming months before we go into our next round of investments.”
Presently there are 75 employees in the company.
Many edu-tech startups are getting funded this year. U Education got funding from Ronnie Screwvala and another startup iNurture Education raised Rs. 30 crore from Bertelsmann India.
