Online fashion retailer Myntra plans to hire over 7000 people to handle sales in the festive season this October to December.
As reported by ET last week, Myntra has received fresh funds of Rs 755 crores ( about $103 million ) from its Singapore based parent entity FK Myntra Holdings. The newly infused funds are to be used for hiring additional temporary staff in the supply chain and warehouse wing.
Myntra had done a similar hiring of last year too in the festive season, however it had permanently employed over 5000 people from among the temporary hiring. The company usually pays about Rs.20,000 salary and other incentives to the employees under the temporary hiring. It had also paid Rs.20,000 additional money to Work From Home employees to setup offices at home during the pandemic.
This hiring is one of the largest one for a festive season by an online ecommerce platform.
Myntra is hosting its “BIG FASHION FESTIVAL” from October 16 to 22 this year. It will be a grand seven days shopping event for online consumers.
