The seller service unit of Amazon India and NIESBUD (National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development) have signed a MoU whose aim is to encourage online small businesses.
Under this MoU, both will be working towards helping online businesses grow in the e-commerce sector and make them understand the significance of India’s growing digital revolution.
Amazon and NIESBUD will give necessary training on selling and marketing to SMEs.
Gopal Pillai, director of seller services, Amazon India, says, “We have come across millions of Indian SMEs who are very entrepreneurial and have a hunger to grow but do not have the necessary skill-sets to manage an online business. We hope that through this initiative we are able to positively impact thousands of more sellers across India.”
Amazon has been working continuously with its sellers to increase their reach since last two years by running extensive skilling program.
