Aircall, a cloud-based phone system raises $8M in Series A funding round from Balderton Capital

Aircall enables users to buy local numbers instantly in 40 countries which can be managed from a single office. Businesses can use its app to run a virtual customer support team. Allows companies to manage their agents.

It has raised $8M in Series A funding round led by Balderton Capital. The company will use the fund to expand internationally, focusing in U.S where it has a office in New York.

Aircall currently has close to 2,000 customers globally and intends to double its workforce in the next year.

Aircall was founded in 2014 and has raised $2.75M from Balderton Capital in January, 2016 following a $800K seed funding from eFounders & NewFund.

Aircall works by routing calls over the internet. The service is charged from $10 per user on its most basic plan, up to a more robust $40 per user tier.
