The release of the trailer of “Jai Gangaajal” has increased the anticipation of all movie buffs, thanks to the excruciating, clear-cut performance of Priyanka Chopra as Superintendent of Police, Abha Mathur. Portraying the role of the protagonist, Piggy Chops has given an intense performance in this trailer and has made her presence be highlighted with her natural acting.
Ever since PC (Priyanka Chopra) started acting in the American TV series Quantico, she has received much acclamation worldwide for her suave performance as FBI Trainee, Alex Parrish; not to say that she had always been a sought-after actress in B-Town. Her innate performances have always been welcomed and appreciated in a huge manner and in the same way (undoubtedly!); PC has done a superb performance in this trailer.
Director Prakash Jha, who is known for his critically acclaimed films like Rajneeti and Aarakshan, is not only directing this film but is also making his debut as an actor, by portraying the role of a bad, corrupt cop (as far as the trailer is concerned!). In this trailer, he has showcased the way in which a female cop handles the riots, discrimination and other problems in the world of crime, injustice and corruption. PC has given a powerful performance and makes the viewers believe the fact that she is a cop (The way she handles the lathi, pistol and also the goondas… CLASS! ).
Though news has spread that this film is a sequel of Jha’s previous making, Gangaajal (starring Ajay Devgan), the director assures the audience that this film involves a fresh story with much more potency and vigour action, with no references to the previous film.
The film is all set to release on the 4th of March, 2016. Let’s hope that the makers and actors impress us the way they had in the trailer. Till then, Jai Gangaajal!
