National Herald case; bail for Sonia and Rahul

Patiala house court has granted an unconditional bail for Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi in National Herald case. Both of them have furnished a bind of Rs. 50,000 for getting the bail. After 5 minutes longed hearing the court has also granted bail to the other accused- Congress general secretary Oscar Fernandes, Treasurer Motilal Vora & the Gandhi family loyalist Suman Dubey.
Earlier Rahul Gandhi had reached at 10 janpath, the residency of Sonia Gandhi. From there both Sonia & Rahul arrived at the Patiala house court for earing at 3 p.m.
Hearing the court order BJP leader Subramanian Swami, who has petitioned the case, had pleaded to court for strong actions against Rahul & Sonia pointing out their political influence. But court refused his arguments. “The accused were reputed persons and office bearers of the country’s old party. There is no apprehension that they will flee,” the Judge said.
